I re-read the last post and I had to take it down. The last thing I want to do is hurt my soul mate and I'm afraid I may have (a little).
That post really wasn't intended as a hint or a gripe/rant type of post towards or about my relationship. I've always been a deep romantic at heart and when that movie came on and that song played in the background I just felt all sappy and girlie and had to share the way I felt. Isn't that what blogs are for? But, when I read some of your comments I realized it could be taken different ways.
True I'd like a little more romance in my life - what woman doesn't? However, my relationship with Babers gets better each day and with each day I'm certain that he is the man I want to love forever, naturally romantic or not. What makes a difference to me is an attempt. I even told him if he hid a pair of his boxers in my purse as an attempt at romance I'd take it!
We have one life. ONE. I can't help but strive to make my life as beautiful as possible. The hardest part is over - finding my soul mate. The peas for my carrots, the ying for my yang, the Beavis for my Butthead. You get the picture. Now I just want the decorations. The little things. And the only person I want those from is him.
I wuv you babers.

That was so disgustingly sweet. I know what you mean, I love my husband dearly, he is as close to perfect for me as anyone could be. But that doesn't mean I can't wish for more romance. But it does make it all the more special when he does finally do something romantic.
((((Hugs)))) for you both. x
Aw did he take it the wrong way! What a shame, its so blatantly obvious how much you love him when you read your blog!
Thanks for the comment, we are friends again now, hope you are too xxx
Wow... um... don't we all wish for more romance? Guys suck at it 90% of the time.
If you want a job done right, do it yourself... ;-)
Babers, your awesome. No need to worry!
That was very sweet !

Nice. I didn't think you were complaining - I just think you were... um... at a loss and trying to sort a few things out. I didn't get anything negative about J. I still think he's great.
My in-laws read my blog. So when they are awful, I can't complain about them. Sometimes still they bitch to D. But I tell him, they can always leave a comment.
I think relating is about finding a way to communicate your love. For example, I really love chivalrous stuff - white handkerchiefs offered for tears, carrying the bags, stuff like that. It's taken me a while to just communicate what I like but this morning I had to go to the doctor and D cleaned off the car and warmed it up. Ahhh.
16 years later and we're communicating. Like I said in the last one, these things work themselves out over time.
I think that the original post was quite tame.
I think we all think about romance in different ways...my guy thinks he's being romantic if he brushes his teeth before bed! I'm thinking,...DUDE...you should ALWAYS brush your teeth before bed and he does, but sometimes it's like an hour or two before bed, but apparently the romance signal is if he leaves the door open and brushes his teeth THE MINUTE before he hops into bed so that I KNOW he's brushed them...lol I don't know..men think about things differently..
but either way..Michael Buble` is still the cutest darn thing since sliced bread!
Way to go Jillie, when you guys get married please invite me... not to the wedding but his Bachelor Party.
Yeah I know, drummers...
Cheers
